Fernando Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Alvarenga having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Arlindo dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Luís Alvarenga was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. A.D.Cerquilhense's Vicente Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Thiago Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.D.Cerquilhense's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Vicente Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.D.Cerquilhense's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Itacare FC's Silvinho Castro got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 90th minute, Thiago Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.D.Cerquilhense's Dadá Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Itacare FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though A.D.Cerquilhense had controlled the match.
