Zé Roberto Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Marimbas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Glauco Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Guimarães in the 42nd minute of the match. THZ's Glauco Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save THZ from getting a goal against them. Walmyr Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Glauco Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Garcia in the 46th minute of play forced THZ's goalkeeper Glauco Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei Rocha to make the kick off. Walmyr Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Rocha in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Roberto Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maksymilian Rykaczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zé Roberto Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, THZ's João Pedro de Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After having played for 77 minutes, Augusto Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marimbas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Marimbas's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fiori Vaz. Josué Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of THZ booed when Marimbas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Walmyr Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dinei Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the THZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Rocha couldn't finish the play. Percy Aguiar hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Zé Roberto Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the game, Augusto Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marimbas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THZ the free kick. After 98 played minutes Marimbas got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Guimarães. THZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
