After a defensive mix-up in SÃO PAULO 4EVER's zone, Walmyr Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Guilherme Seco came out of the goal and Walmyr Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marimbas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aníbal Damião in the 7th minute. A collision led to Marimbas getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Percy Aguiar hit a great ball. Túlio Prata's late challenge caught a SÃO PAULO 4EVER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Túlio Prata helped the player get up and apologised. Túlio Prata hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vitinho Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Pontes having to interfere. Vitinho Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitinho Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of SÃO PAULO 4EVER booed when Marimbas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes Marimbas got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Prata. After recieving a nice pass, SÃO PAULO 4EVER's Gino Barral tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Túlio Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Guilherme Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Paiva in the 25th minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Seco came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Marimbas's Augusto Guimarães. But to his dismay, Augusto Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, SÃO PAULO 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Paiva came free, but Luiz Guilherme Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SÃO PAULO 4EVER's Luiz Guilherme Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Guimarães in the 40th minute of play. Marimbas were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after SÃO PAULO 4EVER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aníbal Damião took the corner. 42 minutes into the game, Dalmo Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marimbas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SÃO PAULO 4EVER the free kick. Dalmo Neiva hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué Garcia made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SÃO PAULO 4EVER's Angelo Braga got a free kick in the 51st minute. Luiz Guilherme Seco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué Garcia's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Augusto Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Augusto Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 武诚树 in the 56th minute of play forced Marimbas's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Marimbas got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Guimarães. After having played for 70 minutes, 武诚树 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SÃO PAULO 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but 武诚树 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walmyr Paivas short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Luiz Guilherme Seco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd match minute, SÃO PAULO 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Paraense to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Damião was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, SÃO PAULO 4EVER's Luiz Guilherme Seco got control of the ball when Túlio Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Seco made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Walmyr Paiva sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the game, Túlio Prata recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Guilherme Seco. Túlio Prata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
