Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baltazar Fernandez got the match started through his kick off. Afonso Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Afonso Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltazar Fernandez went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 7 minutes, Tomé Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potchos and the Buzios players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Potchos got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Arantes. Igor Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wesley Pitta in the 10th minute. Potchos's Afonso Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Barbosa in the 13th minute of play. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Buzios's Magno Barbosa. But to his dismay, Magno Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Baltazar Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Prestes. Potchos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 27 minutes of play, Buzios's Magno Barbosa made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Magno Barbosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buzios fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 33rd minute, Luís Fábio Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maicon Vieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Afonso Prestes. Potchos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Potchos defense, Dieguinho Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Prestes. The Potchos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Prestes should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Baltazar Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro de Castro was the one to do the kick off. Potchos's Afonso Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Batista in the 51st minute of play. Afonso Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Afonso Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Barbosa in the 56th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar Fernandez got free with Afonso Prestes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute Dieguinho Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Vieira in the 61st minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieguinho Batista. With an all-out effort, Buzios's Afonso Prestes threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Magno Barbosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 66 minutes of play, Buzios's Dieguinho Batista made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the game, Buzios's Baltazar Fernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Prestes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. If Pedro de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Fernando Porto hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Raí Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Barbosa scored 0-10 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Prestes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baltazar Fernandez took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Prestes. Afonso Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Afonso Prestes made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Régis Berger sent off a good shot on target. Baltazar Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Maicon Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Potchos's Afonso Prestes got control of the ball when Baltazar Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Potchos's Afonso Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Barbosa in the 94th minute of play.
