In the 3rd minute, Dinei Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durvalino Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Pedro de Lima's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Maksymilian Rykaczewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of THZ booed when A.D. Ponte Mirim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Rocha in the 15th minute of play forced A.D. Ponte Mirim's goalkeeper Durvalino Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maksymilian Rykaczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Dinei Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pedro de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Durvalino Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dinei Rocha sped through A.D. Ponte Mirim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Durvalino Bittencourt. A collision led to A.D. Ponte Mirim getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cléber Goiano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Maksymilian Rykaczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. THZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Maksymilian Rykaczewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durvalino Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, Sílvio de Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D. Ponte Mirim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THZ the free kick. A collision led to A.D. Ponte Mirim getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sílvio de Medeiros hit a great ball. Durvalino Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksymilian Rykaczewski in the 28th minute of play. Cléber Goiano struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Glauco Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.D. Ponte Mirim. Durvalino Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.D. Ponte Mirim's Sílvio de Medeiros got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Sílvio de Medeiros off the ground. After a rather tough play, A.D. Ponte Mirim's Sílvio de Medeiros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Maksymilian Rykaczewski notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of A.D. Ponte Mirim's Durvalino Bittencourt. Durvalino Bittencourt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Durvalino Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Rocha in the 43rd minute of play. Maksymilian Rykaczewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durvalino Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Ponte Mirim's zone, Maksymilian Rykaczewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvalino Bittencourt came out of the goal and Maksymilian Rykaczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half THZ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gugu Maranhense made the kick off in the second half. João Pedro de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd play minute Maksymilian Rykaczewski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Durvalino Bittencourt. 0-4. Emerson Sergipano's late challenge caught a THZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, A.D. Ponte Mirim's Emerson Sergipano got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Dinei Rocha fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Durvalino Bittencourt, passed just outside the right post. 60 minutes into the game, Gugu Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ponte Mirim's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dinei Rocha 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Dinei Rocha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Durvalino Bittencourt. That made the score 0-7 in the 72 minute of play. João Pedro de Lima in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Durvalino Bittencourt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A.D. Ponte Mirim's Durvalino Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Ponte Mirim from getting a goal against them. When Dinei Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THZ's protests and gave Dinei Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Dinei Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Dinei Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute.
