Pedro de Castro's late challenge caught a THZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro de Castro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro de Lima in the 10th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Walme Beloki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes in the game Tiaguinho Coelho did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Aírton Matos. Raí Sanches hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Afonso Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Rocha in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Dinei Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton Matos scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Prestes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by THZ's Jonas Nascimento. But to his dismay, Jonas Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of THZ booed when Potchos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. THZ's Fiori Vaz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Potchos. Afonso Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jonas Nascimento hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Afonso Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro de Lima in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dinei Rocha made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Dinei Rocha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Afonso Prestes, 0-4. In the 60th minute, Dinei Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The THZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 65 minutes into the match, Potchos's goal looked a bit too open when Walme Beloki came free, but Afonso Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, THZ's Fiori Vaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Afonso Prestes made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Maksymilian Rykaczewski sent off a good shot on target. Potchos's Afonso Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Potchos from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute Dinei Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. THZ made a substitution. José Paulo Mangueira replaced Jonas Nascimento. After a defensive mix-up in Potchos's zone, Dinei Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal and Dinei Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute João Pedro de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Prestes was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Dinei Rocha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dinei Rocha really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Pedro de Lima in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro de Lima. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Afonso Prestes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Vaz in the 95th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
