The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dinei Rocha sped through Operário Laranjeiras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hudson Bastos. Fausto Rocha struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Glauco Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Operário Laranjeiras. Glauco Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro Cabral in the 10th minute. Maksymilian Rykaczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, Operário Laranjeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Cabral hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Dinei Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Hudson Bastos. In the 29thth minute of the game João Pedro de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Operário Laranjeiras's Hudson Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glauco Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Dionísio in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maksymilian Rykaczewski in the 33rd minute of play forced Operário Laranjeiras's goalkeeper Hudson Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half THZ were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hudson Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maksymilian Rykaczewski in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Operário Laranjeiras's zone, Maksymilian Rykaczewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Bastos came out of the goal and Maksymilian Rykaczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fausto Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Operário Laranjeiras's protests and gave Fausto Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Rocha hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Operário Laranjeiras's goalkeeper Hudson Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maksymilian Rykaczewski. After having played for 69 minutes, Dinei Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Sandro Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glauco Sarmento. THZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Glauco Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Sousa in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Operário Laranjeiras's Antônio Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glauco Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maksymilian Rykaczewski came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hudson Bastos could save by the left post. Hudson Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Rocha in the 84th minute of the match. Glauco Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinei Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Bastos having to interfere. Glauco Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Sousa in the 94th minute of the match. The Operário Laranjeiras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching THZ's performance. The match ended with a win for THZ.
