Spectators: 7631 (Terracing: 5724, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gugu Maranhense kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, 30 de Fevereiro's Sandro Mazza got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th play minute Cafu Carneiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Durvalino Bittencourt. 1-0. In the 11th minute, Haroldo Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes, 30 de Fevereiro's Gil Figueiredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durvalino Bittencourt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 30 de Fevereiro reached it. Raphael Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 de Fevereiro's Cafu Carneiro pulled a muscle in his leg after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 21 minutes, Leonardo Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.D. Ponte Mirim and the 30 de Fevereiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to A.D. Ponte Mirim getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leonardo Rossi hit a great ball. If Gugu Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Raphael Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Maranhense in the 31st minute of play forced 30 de Fevereiro's goalkeeper Ulisses Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.D. Ponte Mirim's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raphael Oliveira 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio de Medeiros during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of 30 de Fevereiro booed when A.D. Ponte Mirim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Durvalino Bittencourt made a huge save. Gugu Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Oliveira in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durvalino Bittencourt saved A.D. Ponte Mirim from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raphael Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Genílson Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.D. Ponte Mirim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to 30 de Fevereiro getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sandro Mazza hit a great ball. 30 de Fevereiro's Ulisses Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Goiano in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio de Medeiros in the 67th minute of play forced 30 de Fevereiro's goalkeeper Ulisses Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by 30 de Fevereiro's Raphael Oliveira. But to his dismay, Raphael Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, A.D. Ponte Mirim's Leonardo Rossi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ulisses Alvarenga. In the 81st minute Gugu Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, João Francisco Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of Durvalino Bittencourt. A.D. Ponte Mirim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Ulisses Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Maranhense in the 92nd minute of the match. When Genílson Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the A.D. Ponte Mirim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genílson Baptista couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 30 de Fevereiro had won after a very even match.
