Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antônio Sousa kicked off to start the match. Hudson Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Pitta in the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero Dionísio got free with Afonso Prestes in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonso Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Sandro Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20thth minute of the game Wesley Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Operário Laranjeiras's Hudson Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match, Antônio Sousa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Prestes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Enio das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Fausto Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Prestes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Fausto Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Operário Laranjeiras's protests and gave Fausto Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Rocha hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro de Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cícero Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Potchos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Operário Laranjeiras getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Laerte de Carvalho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Operário Laranjeiras's zone, Wesley Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Bastos came out of the goal and Wesley Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Operário Laranjeiras's Fausto Rocha got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 62 played minutes, Operário Laranjeiras's Edu Martins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Prestes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Operário Laranjeiras reached it. Potchos's Afonso Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Sousa in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Cícero Dionísio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Percy Bittencourt made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Antônio Sousa however managed to control. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Operário Laranjeiras's Antônio Sousa. But to his dismay, Antônio Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Potchos booed when Operário Laranjeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Cícero Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Cícero Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Prestes. Potchos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cícero Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 82nd minute Pedro de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Operário Laranjeiras's Cícero Dionísio. But to his dismay, Cícero Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Cabral in the 87th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Pedro de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro de Castro's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Operário Laranjeiras were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Potchos for a fine match.
