Aníbal Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Breckenfeld having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Sampaio in the 15th minute of play forced Malvadeza Mode ON's goalkeeper Emerson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Giovani Brito notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Malvadeza Mode ON's Emerson Severo. Emerson Severo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Giovani Brito came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Franquinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovani Brito couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Malvadeza Mode ON's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Sampaio came free, but Emerson Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovani Brito in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Severo saved Malvadeza Mode ON from getting behind. If Doni Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doni Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franquinha EC's Giovani Brito in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 47th minute Vânderson Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Franquinha EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovani Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. When Giovani Brito came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Franquinha EC fans jumped to their feet. If Giovani Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Doni Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franquinha EC's Doni Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malvadeza Mode ON's Emerson Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Malvadeza Mode ON from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Sampaio got free with Emerson Severo in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Malvadeza Mode ON's goalkeeper Emerson Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doni Sampaio. After a defensive mix-up in Malvadeza Mode ON's zone, Doni Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Severo came out of the goal and Doni Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Brito in the 81st minute of play forced Malvadeza Mode ON's goalkeeper Emerson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Doni Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovani Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franquinha EC's Doni Sampaio suffered a concussion in the 86th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 86 minutes into the game, Raimundo Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malvadeza Mode ON's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franquinha EC the free kick. The referee gave Franquinha EC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jefferson Dantas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Malvadeza Mode ON's Emerson Severo. 0-4. A collision led to Malvadeza Mode ON getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vânderson Munhoz hit a great ball. Kiko Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Seco in the 95th minute of play.
