In the 7th minute, Gilson de Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Tasso. Lambari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lambari's zone, Gilson de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Tasso came out of the goal and Gilson de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lambari's Douglas Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson de Mendonça in the 24th minute of play. If Lauro Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robinho Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauro Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Lauro Guimarães sped through Nazaro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robinho Rodrigues. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The Nazaro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Pedro Luís Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Rodrigues having to interfere. Reginaldo Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Rodrigues having to interfere. The Lambari supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nazaro's performance. The match ended with a win for Nazaro.
