When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Fausto de Godoi put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Eriberto Nascimento. If Paulinho McLaren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Nascimento having to interfere. Elói Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Gláuber Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cresciuma eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
