Lambari's Douglas Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Favoretto in the 6th minute of play. Douglas Tasso was a little too slow when Nilson Vaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lauro Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Tasso made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Nilson Vaz sent off a good shot on target. Pubas's Mauro da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Sergipano in the 16th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Amílton Coelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Douglas Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Tasso made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Nilson Vaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th match minute, Lambari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, André Luz fired a really elegant long shot, but Douglas Tasso threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 33 minutes into the match, Amadeu Rodrigues dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Douglas Tasso, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manoel Favoretto during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Guimarães couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Lauro Guimarães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Lambari's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Vaz came free, but Douglas Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Pubas's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Sergipano came free, but Mauro da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Pubas's Nilson Vaz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Lambari players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pubas.
