If Diogo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Tepedino took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Nascimento. Eriberto Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Diogo Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hortêncio Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Coaraci's Hélio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. A hard shot by Francisco de Alcântara from long distance, 44 minutes into the match, got Edgard Tavares's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 45 played minutes Coaraci got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Borges. In the 46th minute, Cresciuma's Elói Leite ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgard Tavares. Edgard Tavares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Hélio Pinheiro was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 51 played minutes Coaraci got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Pinheiro. Felippe do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Tavares having to interfere. The supporters of Cresciuma booed when Coaraci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Coaraci's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe do Nascimento came free, but Edgard Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Coaraci's zone, Elói Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Tavares came out of the goal and Elói Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eriberto Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Diogo Guedes sent off a good shot on target. Eriberto Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Guedes in the 85th minute. Elói Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Felippe do Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cresciuma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Diogo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eriberto Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cresciuma's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
