Cléber Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Guimarães in the 9th minute of the match. Douglas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Pimenta got free with Douglas Tasso in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Rogério Motta sped through Lambari's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Douglas Tasso. Douglas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Douglas Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Motta in the 40th minute of play. Douglas Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelinho Lago went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ronaldo Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Douglas Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Fred Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Tasso having to interfere. Marcelinho Lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Tasso having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Rogério Motta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Tasso was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute Taciua were awarded a corner. Rogério Motta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Taciua's Rogério Motta to fire away a dangerous shot which Douglas Tasso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, André Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Tasso. Lambari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Marcelinho Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Taciua's Tiago Cunha got a free kick in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lambari's zone, Rogério Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Tasso came out of the goal and Rogério Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lambari's Baltazar Mello got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Rogério Motta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Tasso skillfully saved the ball. After 81 played minutes Lambari got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Sergipano. Taciua's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
