Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Hortêncio Tepedino started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Gilson de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Hélio Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Delfim Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nazaro's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Tavares stood somewhat misplaced when Gilson de Mendonça came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. In the 10th match minute, Nazaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Braga to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Borges in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Coaraci's José Oliveira got a free kick in the 15th minute. Delfim Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Tavares having to interfere. Nazaro's Robinho Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Tepedino in the 20th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Nazaro's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Guedes came free, but Robinho Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Coaraci booed when Nazaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson de Mendonça's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Edgard Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson de Mendonça in the 37th minute of play forced Coaraci's goalkeeper Edgard Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilson de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mazinho Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson de Mendonça in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Tavares saved Coaraci from getting behind. Hélio Pinheiro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho Rodrigues. Robinho Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 61st match minute, Coaraci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Borges to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edgard Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nazaro's Gilson de Mendonça in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coaraci's goalkeeper Edgard Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Coaraci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Matos to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Diogo Guedes sent off a good shot on target. Delfim Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Nazaro booed when Coaraci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Coaraci players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
