Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fausto de Godoi kicked off to start the match. Paulinho McLaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cléber Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Taciua got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Botelho. Rogério Motta struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Júlio Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taciua. In the 27th minute, NAVAS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fred Trancoso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Rogério Motta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 31 minutes into the match, NAVAS's goalkeeper Júlio Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Motta. After a rather tough play, NAVAS's Obar Xavier got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto de Godoi in the 43rd minute of play forced Taciua's goalkeeper Cléber Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taciua's Ronaldo Pimenta was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

51 minutes into the game, Rogério Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Júlio Camargo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelinho Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute Rogério Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Camargo having to interfere. Taciua's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelinho Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Taciua's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
