Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Messi in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Intxixu Porregimon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Germano Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexilhão F. C.'s protests and gave Germano Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Three Lions FC booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Messi in the 22nd minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee gave Mexilhão F. C. a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. Kacper Jaworski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Messi in the 74th minute of play. Intxixu Porregimon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gunnar Ekeroth went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Intxixu Porregimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Messi's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute Ronaldinho Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, George Messi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Intxixu Porregimon. The goal made the score 3-4. 102 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexilhão F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. George Lukaku was slow to take the kick. During this time Three Lions FC's players had a chance to rest. Three Lions FC's George Lukaku was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Intxixu Porregimon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Chants of Three Lions FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mexilhão F. C. had held the ball for most of the match.
