Sebastian Svanberg came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Tricolor's Gabriel Batistuta. But to his dismay, Gabriel Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Zé Paulo Barbosa hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the AkyReef Sporting Atletic defense, Erik Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Svanberg. The AkyReef Sporting Atletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Svanberg should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Gabriel Batistuta notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AkyReef Sporting Atletic's Sebastian Svanberg. Sebastian Svanberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guga França in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Svanberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hulk Orange took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Svanberg. Sebastian Svanberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Genílson Gomes hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rony Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Erik Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águia Tricolor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Erik Pinheiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 60 minutes into the match, AkyReef Sporting Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Pinheiro came free, but Sebastian Svanberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murat Selim Zaik having to interfere. With a little luck, AkyReef Sporting Atletic's Sebastian Svanberg got control of the ball when Guga França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Murat Selim Zaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Zé Paulo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Águia Tricolor's Erik Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Svanberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Rony Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murat Selim Zaik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Águia Tricolor made a substitution. Armando Veiga replaced Erik Pinheiro. Águia Tricolor's Otto Bähr was substituted for César Pena. A collision led to Águia Tricolor getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gabriel Batistuta hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Gabriel Batistuta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, AkyReef Sporting Atletic's Sebastian Svanberg got control of the ball when Hulk Orange tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Svanberg made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Guga França sent off a good shot on target.
