The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Habib Ali Picavea took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vlad Bistreanu to make any attempt to save it. Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Gaspar in the 10th minute of play. Vlad Bistreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vlad Bistreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habib Ali Picavea in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to CruLakers SAF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Davi Munhoz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Ali Picavea in the 29th minute of play forced CruLakers SAF's goalkeeper Vlad Bistreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Jorge Sá got a free kick in the 31st minute. CruLakers SAF's Donato Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cléber Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the CruLakers SAF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Gaspar couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, CruLakers SAF's Vlad Bistreanu got control of the ball when Alfredinho Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Habib Ali Picavea made a precise shot to the right of Vlad Bistreanu. CruLakers SAF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 45th minute of the match, Habib Ali Picavea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vlad Bistreanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléber Gaspar to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, CruLakers SAF's goal looked a bit too open when Habib Ali Picavea came free, but Vlad Bistreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ediberto Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. It was beautiful to see Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Grau in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Morro Grande E.C from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute Habib Ali Picavea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Bistreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morro Grande E.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CruLakers SAF for a fine match.
