Grêmio Meia Praia's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Gustavo Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nono Contreras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Wilson Rosa made the kick off in the second half. Amílton Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 79th minute Amador Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nono Contreras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Menendo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nono Contreras came out and tried to block the shot, but Amador Menendo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 84th minute. Amador Menendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nono Contreras having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Destroyers F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Amador Menendo came free, but Nono Contreras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Wilson Rosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Meia Praia's Amílton Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Grêmio Meia Praia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Destroyers F.C. throughout the match.
