George Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Mexilhão F. C. were awarded a corner. Ronaldinho Romero went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ronaldinho Romero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this George Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 16th minute, Three Lions FC's George Messi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when George Messi scored to the left of an out of position Guga Tavares, making the score, 3-0. George Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Recife in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Messi in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Tavares saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. Guga Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Messi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 4-0 when George Messi sped through Mexilhão F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guga Tavares. Three Lions FC's George Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Recife in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Recife in the 41st minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper George Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When George Messi came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Three Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Messi couldn't finish the play. In the 47th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Messi to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by George De Bruyne. In the 56th minute Edson Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Stones hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Tony Angelsø kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Three Lions FC got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Lukaku ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arthur dos Santos's late challenge caught a Three Lions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Messi in the 70th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Messi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. C.'s Guga Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Messi in the 85th minute of play. Three Lions FC's attentive George De Bruyne managed to snatch the ball when Cristiano Nogueira made a throw-in in the 97th minute of the game.
