In the 6th minute of the match Renascer got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rômulo Abraão ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Gong Yi Feng managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 11 minutes Mexilhão F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rômulo Abraão who took care of the corner kick. Arvin Larsson tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Guga Tavares. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Jano Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Angelsø in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Donato Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 19th match minute, Renascer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edson Recife got free with Donato Souza in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Angelsø in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Souza saved Renascer from getting behind. Renascer's Donato Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Renascer from getting a goal against them. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Carvalho got free with Guga Tavares in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 played minutes Renascer got a freekick which was hit by Oğuzhan Türkoğlu. Oğuzhan Türkoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Renascer's zone, Ronaldinho Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Carvalho in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Abel de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexilhão F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Donato Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Carvalho. C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
