When Hílton Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTASTICO's protests and gave Hílton Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Patriots Brasil booed when SANTASTICO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariusz Zaworski took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho Penha. Tiaguinho Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 18th minute Orlando França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiaguinho Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Camargo in the 22nd minute of play. Vágner Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando França, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mariusz Zaworski scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bengt-Rune Mellberg hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Orlando França managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTASTICO's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Penha having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mariusz Zaworski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiaguinho Penha was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After 63 minutes SANTASTICO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Ruas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Alberto Ruas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANTASTICO's Tiaguinho Penha did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariusz Zaworski got free with Tiaguinho Penha in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mauro Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, SANTASTICO's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Camargo came free, but Tiaguinho Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Doriva Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTASTICO's protests and gave Doriva Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. Doriva Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcinho Camargo in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiaguinho Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariusz Zaworski went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Doriva Albuquerque was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 94th minute, Doriva Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patriots Brasil's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
