Moisés Novaes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Pato in the 87th minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. America FC's Gerson Alves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Perivaldo Tinoco in the 92 minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Roberto Pato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Gildo Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
