The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodriguinho Massa during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tigres SC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rodriguinho Massa hit a great ball. Felipe Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Cardoso in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cachambu EC's Noel Miranda got a free kick in the 10th minute. Isaltino Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Falcão in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Cachambu EC's goalkeeper Felipe Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Cardoso. 17 minutes into the match, Cachambu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Braga came free, but Felipe Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Rodriguinho Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Massa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cachambu EC's Felipe Baiano. Felipe Baiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the game, Noel Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Isaltino Lira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Tigres SC's Célio Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felipe Baiano. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. Felipe Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Célio Cardoso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Tigres SC's Enio Pitta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felipe Baiano. Felipe Baiano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Célio Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Célio Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Célio Cardoso hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Cachambu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felipe Baiano came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tigres SC's Célio Cardoso. But to his dismay, Célio Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 67th minute Rodriguinho Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carlos Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Vidal in the 72nd minute of play forced Cachambu EC's goalkeeper Felipe Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Falcão in the 73rd minute of play forced Tigres SC's goalkeeper Isaltino Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Baiano came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigres SC's Claudinho Braga. But to his dismay, Claudinho Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Felipe Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Cardoso in the 81st minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Tigres SC's Célio Cardoso made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Edgar Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachambu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tigres SC the free kick. Edgar Capixaba hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Felipe Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The supporters of Cachambu EC booed when Tigres SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cachambu EC's Edgar Capixaba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tigres SC. Tigres SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
