Isaltino Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 3rd minute of the match. São Wilson's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enrique Garcia in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Silvinho Moraes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tigres SC's Isaltino Lira did a great save. After 13 minutes, Silvinho Moraes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tigres SC's Isaltino Lira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 16 minutes, Rodriguinho Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigres SC and the São Wilson players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tigres SC's Rodriguinho Massa got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute Almir do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaltino Lira saved Tigres SC from getting behind. After 28 minutes Tigres SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Garcia who took care of the corner kick. 32 minutes into the game, São Wilson's Silvinho Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 37th minute, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Wilson fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Isaltino Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörg Michael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Isaltino Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of São Wilson booed when Tigres SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Isaltino Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Wilson. When Almir do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the São Wilson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir do Valle couldn't finish the play. The Tigres SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. São Wilson were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Tigres SC got a freekick which was hit by Célio Cardoso. Isaltino Lira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Almir do Valle in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Isaltino Lira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 63rd minute of play forced Tigres SC's goalkeeper Isaltino Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvinho Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Isaltino Lira made a huge save. Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shi Feng Yun having to interfere. In the 69th minute Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Célio Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Feng Yun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Isaltino Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Almir do Valle took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Isaltino Lira to make any attempt to save it. São Wilson's Reynaldo Arce was substituted for João Paulo Antunes. Shi Feng Yun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaltino Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörg Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tigres SC's Isaltino Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir do Valle in the 85th minute of play. Tigres SC's Isaltino Lira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Tigres SC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Wilson's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, Tigres SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Vidal to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaltino Lira. Tigres SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. When the match was over São Wilson could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tigres SC throughout the match.
