Sampaio Corrêa FC - FDFDF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Cardozo in the 12th minute. Frank Cardozo made a great header on Sampaio Corrêa FC - FDFDF's corner, it was just that Catone's Almir de Mendonça managed to reach the ball for a save. Sydney Rosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Michel Buffon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Catone's Almir de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Vaz in the 32nd minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sydney Rosa to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gero Resines in the 71st minute of play forced Catone's goalkeeper Almir de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Zé Carlos da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
