Thomás de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomás de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Arrozal FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás de Sena. Catone's Edmílson Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Rosa in the 15th minute of the match. Fernando Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Almir de Mendonça made a huge save. Catone's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Fernando Moreno scored to the left of an out of position Almir de Mendonça, making the score, 1-0. After 26 minutes, Sydney Rosa made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Arrozal FC's Perivaldo Saraiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Perivaldo Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sydney Rosa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Almir de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Fernando Moreno sent off a good shot on target. In the 47thth minute of the game Sydney Rosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrozal FC's Perivaldo Saraiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 minutes, Sydney Rosa made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Arrozal FC's Perivaldo Saraiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Farias was the one to do the kick off. If Sydney Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Almir de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Moreno in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Arrozal FC's zone, Sydney Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Saraiva came out of the goal and Sydney Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 70th minute Erubiel Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arrozal FC's Perivaldo Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Neves in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Fernando Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catone made a substitution. Eliézer Urbano replaced Sydney Rosa. Fernando Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Edmílson Neves in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Perivaldo Saraiva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliézer Urbano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perivaldo Saraiva saved Arrozal FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Eliézer Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perivaldo Saraiva was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Umberto Barros struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Almir de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrozal FC. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Arrozal FC's goalie and right to Edmílson Neves. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Arrozal FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Catone's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
