Emil Jurăscu had several of the Futebol Club Neto's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Mazinho de Almeida as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mazinho de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmyr Vergílio in the 12th minute. Mazinho de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Jurăscu in the 13th minute of play. Mazinho de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Jurăscu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wolves's Vitório Nascimento got a free kick in the 18th minute. Dé Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Luz's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Wolves's Dé Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Luz in the 23rd minute of play. When Wojciech Nienajadlo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wojciech Nienajadlo couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Wolves's Mazinho de Almeida threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wojciech Nienajadlo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wolves's Dé Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor da Mata in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Walmyr Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Futebol Club Neto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Emil Jurăscu took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho de Almeida. Mazinho de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Futebol Club Neto's Mazinho de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Club Neto from getting a goal against them. Mazinho de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wojciech Nienajadlo went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 54 played minutes Futebol Club Neto got a freekick which was hit by Elias de Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Jurăscu in the 57th minute of play forced Futebol Club Neto's goalkeeper Mazinho de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Futebol Club Neto's Olavo Massa got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Walmyr Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wojciech Nienajadlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho de Almeida having to interfere. The corner led Futebol Club Neto's Nelson Luz to fire away a dangerous shot which Dé Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Nienajadlo in the 82nd minute of play forced Futebol Club Neto's goalkeeper Mazinho de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes, Bo Lindberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wolves and the Futebol Club Neto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bo Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Mazinho de Almeida came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Wolves's Walmyr Vergílio. But to his dismay, Walmyr Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 88 minutes, Emil Jurăscu made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Futebol Club Neto's Mazinho de Almeida tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mazinho de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Wolves's Maurinho dos Santos got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Wolves players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
