The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Emerson Vides put in a rough tackle. After 13 played minutes CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Vides. The audience held their breath when Luís Guilherme Nóbrega in the 14th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Agostinho Santos's left hand side. Maurício Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Rafael Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Agostinho Santos came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by HALAMO's Luís Fábio Teles. But to his dismay, Luís Fábio Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Agostinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso in the 48th minute of play. The CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. HALAMO were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurício Guimarães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Agostinho Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Agostinho Santos got control of the ball when Luís Fábio Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ademar da Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Wesley Safadão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafael Silveira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to HALAMO getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Betão Xavier hit a great ball. Betão Xavier came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Agostinho Santos could save by the left post. When Betão Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the HALAMO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Xavier couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Simões came free, but Agostinho Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agostinho Santos was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After having played for 95 minutes, Jonathan Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. HALAMO played a much better game than CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA and deserved their victory. The CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
