Andrézinho Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Velasco in the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Sérgio Moro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Paulista F.C's Andrézinho Sergipano. Andrézinho Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Fábio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Sergipano having to interfere. The supporters of Anjos booed when Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Adhemar Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrézinho Sergipano skillfully saved the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrézinho Sergipano. Paulista F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fábio Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Charles Araújo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Andrézinho Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anjos. Charles Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrézinho Sergipano having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Rodolfo Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagoberto Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hadrian Faul having to interfere. Hadrian Faul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luiz Leite went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Andrézinho Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alexandre Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Andrézinho Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Velasco was the one to do the kick off. When Alexandre Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Anjos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Velasco couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Velasco got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-5 in the right cross in the 58th match minute before Andrézinho Sergipano had time to react. Sérgio Moro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Alexandre Velasco had several of the Paulista F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Andrézinho Sergipano as he didn't even see the shot coming. 72 minutes into the match, Paulista F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Velasco came free, but Andrézinho Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luiz Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hadrian Faul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Berger in the 77th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Alexandre Velasco put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Andrézinho Sergipano. After 83 played minutes Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Palmeira. Hadrian Faul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Leite in the 90th minute of the match. Sérgio Moro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Andrézinho Sergipano made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Anjos's Charles Araújo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrézinho Sergipano. Andrézinho Sergipano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8.
