In the 9th minute, Edmílson Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Edmílson Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paxiubinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Rico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Paxiubinha getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. José Carlos Cruz hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Augusto Di Cola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Olavo Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Dalmai Sainz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Maicon Oliveira. 28 minutes into the match, CR Framengo's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Quadros came free, but Nunez Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Paxiubinha booed when CR Framengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmai Sainz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paxiubinha's Maicon Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Paxiubinha from getting a goal against them. Augusto Di Cola took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maicon Oliveira. Maicon Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Benedito Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Paxiubinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedito Nascimento couldn't finish the play. The supporters of CR Framengo booed when Paxiubinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Di Cola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Maicon Oliveira made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmai Sainz was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, CR Framengo's Dalmai Sainz got a free kick in the 51st minute. Edmílson Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Rico having to interfere. Gildo Varela hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Paxiubinha's Sydney Batista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sydney Batista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paxiubinha protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sydney Batista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Paxiubinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CR Framengo:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for CR Framengo. Augusto Di Cola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maicon Oliveira. 4-1. Benedito Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nunez Rico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Maicon Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Di Cola in the 76th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, CR Framengo's goalkeeper Nunez Rico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Nascimento. Cesinha Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Benedito Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Dalmai Sainz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paxiubinha's Maicon Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Di Cola in the 97th minute of play. Many of Paxiubinha's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Paxiubinha may have spent more time on the ball, but CR Framengo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
