Luiz Fábio Oliveira hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Afonsinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hadrian Faul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maicon Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Moro, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th match minute, Maripá-PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Quadros to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes, Valdemar Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anjos and the Maripá-PR players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Maripá-PR booed when Anjos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maicon Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Velasco in the 14th minute of play. Maicon Prestes came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Anjos's Sérgio Moro. But to his dismay, Sérgio Moro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Alexandre Velasco put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Maicon Prestes. In the 24th minute, Maripá-PR's Fernando da Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 26 minutes, Marcus Guimarães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maripá-PR and the Anjos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcus Guimarães hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jânio Dante was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. Jânio Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Adhemar Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maicon Prestes skillfully saved the ball. In the 31st match minute, Anjos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Moro to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Alexandre Velasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maicon Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Anjos's Alexandre Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maicon Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Martins in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Maripá-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Moro came free, but Maicon Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Moro in the 54th minute of play forced Maripá-PR's goalkeeper Maicon Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Maripá-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Martins came free, but Maicon Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Anjos's Adhemar Martins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maicon Prestes. That made the score 1-4 after 56 minutes of play. 60 minutes into the match, Maripá-PR's goalkeeper Maicon Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Moro. 63 minutes into the match, Sérgio Moro notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Maripá-PR's Maicon Prestes. Maicon Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alexandre Velasco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 67th playminute. Thanks to some nice moves Alexandre Velasco could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Maicon Prestes however easily saved by the left post. 82 minutes into the match, Maripá-PR's goalkeeper Maicon Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Moro. The crowd rose to their feet as Anjos's Adhemar Martins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maicon Prestes. That made the score 1-7 after 83 minutes of play. Maicon Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Moro in the 91st minute of play. Maripá-PR's Maicon Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Martins in the 93rd minute of play. Maicon Prestes made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alexandre Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Anjos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
