Agro Imortal's Rodriguinho Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Poniewaz in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Dennis Bergkamp made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Balonek. Goianésia E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mathias Vidal's late challenge caught a Agro Imortal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. Mathias Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Varela came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Goianésia E.C's Mark Faiko. But to his dismay, Mark Faiko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Norbert Balonek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Dennis Bergkamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agro Imortal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goianésia E.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Agro Imortal's Dennis Bergkamp got a free kick in the 15th minute. Agro Imortal's Rodriguinho Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attila Kertész in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Faiko in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Caetano Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Balonek having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Tomasz Poniewaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodriguinho Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rodriguinho Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Delgado in the 32nd minute of the match. Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. Dennis Bergkamp struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Norbert Balonek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agro Imortal. César Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Jean Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goianésia E.C's protests and gave Jean Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the match, Mark Faiko notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Agro Imortal's Rodriguinho Varela. Rodriguinho Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodriguinho Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago España, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Goianésia E.C were awarded a corner. Mark Faiko went to the cornerflag to take it. Denílson de Amorim tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rodriguinho Varela. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-4 in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Faiko was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bethel Raba in the 53rd minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Norbert Balonek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norbert Balonek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The Goianésia E.C fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Goianésia E.C's Mark Faiko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Faiko in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguinho Varela saved Agro Imortal from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Dennis Bergkamp notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek. Norbert Balonek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th match minute, Agro Imortal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Cacá Valle hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tomasz Poniewaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Varela having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Bethel Raba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Goianésia E.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goianésia E.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
