Bebeto Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 9 minutes into the game, Lacothengo de Futiboloca's Paulo Pirani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto Capixaba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Manhuacu getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Diguinho Moreira hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Paulo Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Capixaba was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Paulo Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Pirani scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Capixaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes of play, Lacothengo de Futiboloca's Teodosio Aguilera made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bebeto Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when João Augusto Neiva made the kick off in the second half. Teodosio Aguilera kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Manhuacu's Bebeto Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Pirani in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Aguilera in the 56th minute of play forced Manhuacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Lacothengo de Futiboloca got a freekick which was hit by Gino Monteiro. A collision led to Manhuacu getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Aloísio Brito hit a great ball. Teodosio Aguilera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bebeto Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bebeto Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Aguilera in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Manhuacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Capixaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Pirani. Bebeto Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Pirani in the 69th minute of the match. Bebeto Capixaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Leal in the 73rd minute. Aloísio Brito took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wambasther Barthez. Wambasther Barthez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Manhuacu made a substitution. Rodriguinho de Lara replaced Aloísio Brito. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Pedrinho Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lacothengo de Futiboloca's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lacothengo de Futiboloca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
