Kaká Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaká Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvio Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cacá Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrício Peixoto in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Witalis Lemiesz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Silvio Artizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cacá Albuquerque. Gremio PortoAlegrense JA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvio Artizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Cacá Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Artizar in the 36th minute of the match. If Fabrício Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Silvio Artizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ragnar Bålström was the one to do the kick off. Cacá Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Artizar in the 51st minute. In the 51st match minute, Gremio PortoAlegrense JA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gremio PortoAlegrense JA booed when Buritizo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Lemiesz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Albuquerque didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Buritizo's Silvio Artizar shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Ragnar Bålström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cacá Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cacá Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Witalis Lemiesz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Fabrício Peixoto's late challenge caught a Buritizo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Peixoto helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Gremio PortoAlegrense JA got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Peixoto. Carlinhos da Silva hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Buritizo's Ragnar Bålström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cacá Albuquerque. Cacá Albuquerque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Buritizo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
