Bebeto Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Polozov in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Manhuacu got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Botelho. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Cipriano Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo Amaro AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Cipriano Hermes made a precise shot to the right of Bebeto Capixaba. Manhuacu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Manhuacu's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Polozov came free, but Bebeto Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenílson Botelho's late challenge caught a Santo Amaro AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lenílson Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manhuacu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Santo Amaro AC. Wincent Pawlik stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bebeto Capixaba. 0-2. Bebeto Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bebeto Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Hermes in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Polozov in the 29th minute of play forced Manhuacu's goalkeeper Bebeto Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, João Augusto Neiva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the Manhuacu defense, Eduard Polozov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebeto Capixaba. The Manhuacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto Capixaba should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute of the match Luiz Fabiano de Senna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bebeto Capixaba skillfully saved the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Manhuacu's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Hermes came free, but Bebeto Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Manhuacu's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Polozov came free, but Bebeto Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Wincent Pawlik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bebeto Capixaba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
In the 51st minute, Cipriano Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bebeto Capixaba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Bebeto Capixaba came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Santo Amaro AC's Eduard Polozov. But to his dismay, Eduard Polozov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Bebeto Capixaba was a little too slow when Eduard Polozov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-6. The supporters of Manhuacu booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Augusto Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Arósio having to interfere. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Batista hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Santo Amaro AC's Carlos Alberto Batista got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Manhuacu's João Augusto Neiva in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santo Amaro AC's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Manhuacu's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Polozov came free, but Bebeto Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Marquez got in the 71st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Bebeto Capixaba handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cipriano Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Bebeto Capixaba made a huge save. After 85 minutes, Luiz Fabiano de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santo Amaro AC and the Manhuacu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano de Senna hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Ian Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manhuacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Cipriano Hermes notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Manhuacu's Bebeto Capixaba. Bebeto Capixaba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santo Amaro AC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
