The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 18th minute Edmundo Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wambasther Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edmundo Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Black Storm FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Mesquita couldn't finish the play. João Pedro Paulista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wambasther Barthez having to make a save. If Luís Fabiano Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Black Storm FC booed when Lacothengo de Futiboloca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wambasther Barthez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Teodosio Aguilera made the kick off in the second half. Wambasther Barthez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fabiano Secco in the 54th minute. With his leg Wambasther Barthez managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Black Storm FC's Luís Fabiano Secco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wambasther Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Paulista in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Edmundo Mesquita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wambasther Barthez. The goal made the score 2-3. Pedrinho Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrinho Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Lacothengo de Futiboloca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Dracena to maneuver through the defense.
