Gilberto Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Agostinho Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benjamim Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Nunes having to interfere. The Gatinhos Comunistas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nova Descoberta - RN's performance.
