Gilberto Torres started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Gatinhos Comunistas getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gilberto Paiva hit a great ball. Adrian Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Vieira in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Manchester United got a corner. Gatinhos Comunistas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cássio de Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Manchester United's Cássio de Salles to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian Nunes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Adrian Nunes came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Matías Vieira. But to his dismay, Matías Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Agnaldo Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agnaldo Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Gatinhos Comunistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Urbano in the 12th minute of play forced Gatinhos Comunistas's goalkeeper Adrian Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gatinhos Comunistas's Gilberto Torres in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United's goalie prevented a goal. The Gatinhos Comunistas fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Gatinhos Comunistas's Gilberto Torres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th match minute, Gatinhos Comunistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Mota to maneuver through the defense. Olivér Pápai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Adrian Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Piearres in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Gatinhos Comunistas booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gatinhos Comunistas's Caetano Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes of play, Manchester United's Matías Vieira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrian Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olivér Pápai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Torres in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Emilio Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Piearres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Wawrzyniec Soszka hit a great ball. Olivér Pápai was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Gabriel Mota capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriel Mota really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías Vieira made a kick off. If Gabriel Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Vieira to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Gatinhos Comunistas's Caetano Fernandez tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Matías Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adrian Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Vieira in the 61st minute of play forced Gatinhos Comunistas's goalkeeper Adrian Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gatinhos Comunistas getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gilberto Paiva hit a great ball. After 65th play minutes Matías Vieira shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Adrian Nunes and just under the crossbar into goal. With an all-out effort, Manchester United's Adrian Nunes threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matías Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gatinhos Comunistas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Matías Vieira scored to the left of an out of position Adrian Nunes, making the score, 2-4. Matías Vieira's late challenge caught a Gatinhos Comunistas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matías Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Matías Vieira. Emilio Piearres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Terra hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Emilio Piearres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Piearres in the 95th minute. Although Gatinhos Comunistas had been in control for most of the match, Manchester United still came away with the win.
