The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Daniel Goito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 6 minutes into the match, Manguaça FC's goalkeeper Daniel Goito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Cunha. When Ciro Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Guarani MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Sabóia couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Reinaldo Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Goito. Manguaça FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Matías Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Carlos Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Geovanni Gomes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniel Goito, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Ciro Sabóia took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Daniel Goito to make any attempt to save it. If Ciro Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Gomes in the 37th minute of play forced Manguaça FC's goalkeeper Daniel Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Matías Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovanni Gomes in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Goito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Guarani MZC booed when Manguaça FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Léo Penha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Goito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Daniel Goito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquín Piquerez hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Manguaça FC's zone, Reinaldo Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Goito came out of the goal and Reinaldo Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Gomes in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Goito saved Manguaça FC from getting behind. Ciro Sabóia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Goito having to make a save. After 91 minutes of play, Guarani MZC's Reinaldo Cunha made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Goito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Carlos Dracena made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guarani MZC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Manguaça FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
