Jean Gomes's late challenge caught a Clube do Remo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. Cláudio Lucas hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Clube do Remo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Dorian Carioca hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dorian Carioca sped through Os Assombrados's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dida de Amaral. Dida de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rimvydas Armalas in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Os Assombrados booed when Clube do Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizinho Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Rimvydas Armalas ran back to his position shaking his head. Dida de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorian Carioca's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. A hard shot 86 in the game by Dorian Carioca from a close distance when the talented Dida de Amaral managed to make a qualified save. Os Assombrados's players were relieved. 92 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis de Toledo came free, but Luizinho Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube do Remo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramón Velasco was slow to take the kick. During this time Os Assombrados's players had a chance to rest. Ramón Velasco made a great header on Os Assombrados's corner, it was just that Clube do Remo's Luizinho Schmidt managed to reach the ball for a save. Cícero Leite hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clube do Remo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
