An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Velloso in the 7th minute of play forced Clube do Remo's goalkeeper Luizinho Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Poltak Pařil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Augustville's goalkeeper Genílson Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute Lech Banan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizinho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lech Banan in the 23rd minute of the match. Lech Banan might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizinho Schmidt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lech Banan ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Clube do Remo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Paulo Miranda hit a great ball. When Mauro Dante came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the AC Augustville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Dante couldn't finish the play. Luizinho Schmidt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duda Velloso's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Paulo Miranda put in a rough tackle. 32 minutes into the game, one of Clube do Remo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of AC Augustville booed when Clube do Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lech Banan scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizinho Schmidt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The AC Augustville fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when AC Augustville's Lech Banan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lech Banan in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizinho Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lech Banan made a kick off. If Duda Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauro Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Clube do Remo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dorian Carioca hit a great ball. Duda Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luizinho Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Augustville's Aaron Tabb was substituted for Duda Velloso. AC Augustville's Mateus Saraiva was substituted for Lech Banan. Mateus Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizinho Schmidt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateus Saraiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Cícero Zonta made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cícero Leite however managed to control. Luizinho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Saraiva in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, AC Augustville's Mateus Saraiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizinho Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mateus Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luizinho Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Mateus Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube do Remo's Luizinho Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Saraiva came free, but Luizinho Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizinho Schmidt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateus Saraiva in the 87th minute. Romário Del Piero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Luizinho Schmidt made a huge save. Aaron Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luizinho Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mateus Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over AC Augustville could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clube do Remo throughout the match.
