With a little luck, BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's Santo Marcos got control of the ball when Abel Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Luiz Gustavo Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Marcos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 史挺南 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 46th minute, Stig Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Gustavo Mazza could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Santo Marcos however easily saved by the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lawerence Marion made a kick off. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Germano Botelho in the 54th minute. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's Germano Botelho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sergio Goicoechea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lawerence Marion kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Paulinho de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Sergio Goicoechea made a huge save. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Mazza in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when BEITAR JERUSALEM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Aníbal Moura sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santo Marcos skillfully saved the ball. 80 minutes into the game, GRÊMIO's Abel Pirani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santo Marcos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Santo Marcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Elias Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Aníbal Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BEITAR JERUSALEM FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Elias Lima hit a great ball.
