Claudinei Urbano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cícero Duarte showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. The supporters of Escurial FC booed when Succatha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Succatha's Claudinei Urbano got control of the ball when Victor Abascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Escurial FC's Claudinei Urbano threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leonardo Andrade, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustão Brodel was the one to do the kick off. Öztürk Peşrev was a little too slow when Faustão Brodel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 2-1.
