After a defensive mix-up in Master-DF's zone, Hermínio Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton da Mata came out of the goal and Hermínio Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Master-DF's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Cosme came free, but Hamílton da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but 谢枫海 made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Cosme in the 28th minute of play forced Master-DF's goalkeeper Hamílton da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blue Mountain State's 谢枫海 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Blue Mountain State from getting a goal against them. João Paulo Almeida lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eärendil Ubago got free with 谢枫海 in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Marcelinho Brodel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Cosme made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Cosme in the 51st minute of play forced Master-DF's goalkeeper Hamílton da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Eärendil Ubago came free, but 谢枫海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal Mello struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hamílton da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Mountain State. Master-DF's Hamílton da Mata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Master-DF from getting a goal against them. In the 80th match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. 谢枫海 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís das Neves in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Hermínio Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermínio Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Hamílton da Mata made a huge save. After 90 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Cosme. After a rather tough play, Blue Mountain State's Ulisses Britto got a free kick in the 91st minute. Blue Mountain State's 谢枫海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eärendil Ubago in the 92nd minute of play. Blue Mountain State's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
