The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ignacio Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match Victor Abascal climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Délio Galvão. Délio Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Andrade in the 35th minute of the match. Miguel Neto hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With his leg Délio Galvão managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Escurial FC's Victor Abascal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Délio Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Abascal, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João das Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Cícero Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escurial FC and the Vao Eesporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, one of Escurial FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Escurial FC. After 52 minutes Escurial FC's goalkeeper Öztürk Peşrev managed, with a little bit of luck, save Pedro Cordarin's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 53rd minute, Pedro Cordarin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vao Eesporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Délio Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Abascal in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, João das Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Öztürk Peşrev. João das Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Cícero Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Pedro Cordarin in the 68th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Öztürk Peşrev's left hand side. Vao Eesporte Clube's Délio Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Andrade in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vao Eesporte Clube's 余霖正 got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João das Neves in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Öztürk Peşrev saved Escurial FC from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Hélio Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Escurial FC's Leonardo Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Délio Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
