Jefferson de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Cascavel's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Vieira came free, but Mazinho Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Adam Encuțescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Vieira to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Cascavel's Adam Encuțescu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mazinho Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Araçá F. C.'s Nilmar Vieira made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
