In the 2nd match minute, Clube União Popular was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, Romário Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Clube União Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Maurin came free, but Rodrigo Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Lima in the 12th minute of play forced Clube União Popular's goalkeeper Rodrigo Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agnaldo Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kabelo FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Agnaldo Vale hit a great ball. When Isaltino Toledo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rodrigo Amorim was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Isaltino Toledo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodrigo Amorim. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Hassan Mignon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube União Popular's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kabelo FC the free kick. In the 26th minute, Hassan Mignon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Romário Lima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodrigo Amorim. The goal made the score 4-0. The supporters of Kabelo FC booed when Clube União Popular was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Clube União Popular's goalkeeper Rodrigo Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Lima. After a rather tough play, Kabelo FC's Ronaldão Veiga got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berkant Canel to make the kick off. Romário Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassan Mignon, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Berkant Canel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute Isaltino Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube União Popular's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Clube União Popular's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Lima in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Amorim saved Clube União Popular from getting behind. Eliézer Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jerônimo Fantini sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Isaltino Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kabelo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 84th minute, Ruy Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Isaltino Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kabelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
